Location of Goa

Goa has a coastline of approximately 105 kms. Goa's main rivers are the mandovi, the Zuari the Terekhol, Chapora and the Betul. The Zuari and the Mandovi are the lifelines of Goa.The total navigable length of Goa's rivers is 253 kms. 
A major part of Goa is along the west Coast of our country.The total land area of the state of Goa is spread across 3702 Sq kilometers. The entire State of Goa comprises of 12 talukas.The State is divided into 12 community development blocks for the purpose of effective implementation of developmental programmes.
Dudhsagar Falls is one of the most important waterfalls of Goa. It is the 5th highest waterfall in India and have a height of 310 meters and width of 30 meters.
North Goa district has 1736 Sq. kmts. area and South Goa has 1966 Sq. Kmts. area. The Western ghats separates Goa from the Deccan plateau.Goa has more than forty estuarine, eight marine and about ninety riverine islands. The total navigable length of Goa's rivers is 253 kms.
