Holi festival of Colours





Holi brings smile on everyone  face because  it is the festival of colors. It brings happiness, joy, enjoyment and excitement  to celebrate holi  with different  colours with friends, relatives and surrounding people.It  has great significance in Hindu culture. This festival is celebrated all over the world with great enjoyment and full of fun.



Every year Holi fastival comes in Spring  season.It is a Hindu spring festival that signifies the arrival of spring, the victory of good over evil, and the celebration of love and unity.The Holi festival always falls on Purnima, or the day of the full moon. It's a two-day enjoyment festival the day before the full moon is Holika Dahan and next day is the celebration of Holi with colour and water which also represents the colourful blooms of spring and  restart of life naturally.This two days gives pleasure and excitement  to enjoy life happily .

The main story that comes to our mind is Radha and Krishna enjoying  colourful holi. It is  the holi story often associated with Holi is the story of Radha and krishna. Krishna is always represented with blue skin his skin turned blue as a baby when he drank poisonous milk from a demon, according to Hindu legend. 


Krishna fell in love with Radha, but was worried that Radha would not feel the same way because of his skin. Radha let Krishna apply color to her skin, and they became a couple. And so on Holi, we apply color to each other's skin.This playful act of colouring Radha’s face with colour eventually became the tradition of playing with colour and water. People play Holi and apply colour to their loved ones which symbolises love, friendship and the arrival of spring.
